Using the TC cadcourse interface

Postby beltloaderman » Thu May 03, 2012 1:50 pm

Good afternoon all,
I just wanted to share a cool interface face for TC with you all. If you draw out you part in TC like I do, then I think this style of interface might work for you. I have been using the interface for about a 11 months, and I find it every useful. I will be honest with you; at first it was kind of hard to get use to it. However, once I got the hang of the interface, it made drawing so much easier and faster. If you check out the screen shot, you will see in the standard interface, you have to click on the little arrow to "fly out" the window

. From there, you can now choose what tool you want. As you start to draw the fly out window closes. So if you want to change to a different line tool you have to click on the little arrow again.

The CadCourse interface eliminates all that. If you look at the other screen shot

you will see tabs up on the tool bar; I clicked on the line tab. As you can see, all of your line tools are right there for you to see, (no more hunting). Best of all, the tab will remain open as you draw. If you want to change from the line to the rectangle... you are right there. This makes drawing so much faster and easier, and if you’re new to TC you do not have to hunt around for the tool that you want, just the tabs. All the ARCs, dimension, etc. are under there own tab for you to see.

Here is how to get the CadCourse interface. Note: version 11-18 is free. Version 19 cost a little. If you call or e-mail Mr. Berry and let him know you have a legacy he said he would discount the cost for version 19.
Go to cadcourse.com, from there you will see a red bar at the top of the page.
Click on “Support”
There you will see Turbocad18 config zip, as you can see he has it for all versions down to 11. Follow the instruction to down load the interface and install it. You do not have to get the course itself to down load the interface. I really think that once you get use to the new interface you will like it a lot.
